Blog Post #1 Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park The area I chose for my project is Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. I chose this area because of its abundant wildlife and rich history of human interaction. The human history there goes back as far as the Cherokee Indians and was host to a large civil war battle, many of whom died there now rest in a cemetery close by. The geography and biodiversity have been shaped for such a long time, I would like to explore the effect that had on the environment. Another reason I chose the area was how close it is to where I live. I will be able to give a larger, more in depth project by going to Kennesaw Mountain and being able to ask questions and observe the area myself.
